Available for purchase is this one-of-a-kind hand made knife thats ready to be added to your collection. The “faux ivory fighter” by design is a fighting knife, but could be used for a variety of light to medium duty tasks. The blade was forged from W2 high carbon tool steel and was hardened using the hadaka yaki method of heat treating ( no clay differential heat treat ) producing an organic, unique hamon. The blade features a convex grind, a clip point with a false edge, and a decorative choil.
The handle is made from false ivory and is heirloom fit to an antiqued brass bolster and embellished with 18 small domed brass pins adding an elegant look and tactile feel to the piece. The handle construction is a through tang design and is held together using a stainless steel nut as a mechanical connection as well as marine grade epoxy producing a strong chemical bond.
